Chadron Public Library
Renovation & Expansion
A Distinguished Past
The Chadron Public Library was founded in 1913 as a Carnegie library and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. For over 100 years, the library has served Chadron and neighboring communities. The Chadron Public Library Foundation was established in 1985 with a bequest from the Moody sisters of Crawford. These funds enabled the library to computerize, install a new telephone system, and sponsor visiting storytellers. Over the years, donors have provided additional funding to support library programs.
